Dear Mom,

I'm not great at saying this stuff out loud and you know that. But I wanted you to have something you could come back to whenever you needed a reminder of how loved you are. So here it is. In writing. On the internet. Forever.

You have been there for everything. Every game, every bad day, every dumb decision I made that you warned me about and were right about. You never made me feel like a burden. You always made me feel like the most important person in the room. Also you were right about the tomato at Castaway. It was a chili pepper. I knew. I told you it was a tomato anyway. I'm sorry. Kind of.

I know you work hard. I know you sacrifice things I don't even notice. I know the creations in the kitchen come from a place of love even if I can't always tell what's in them. Everything you do, you do for me. I see that.
